A New Year

It's again the time of the yr where malls are bustling with activities, filled with people buying presents for their loved ones and friends. This is the first yr at the new place.. I can't help but missed the team. Xmas at the old place was always spent unwrapping presents and running to Mapping, Finance & Valuation.... to thank the people who have rendered their help for the past yr.

Xmas at the new place was much quieter than the old one. Everyone was still inside their cubicle typing away.... preparing for next week's meeting or the anticipated press releases and queries that will be coming in on Monday. It was again a typical day for the firemen.

This yr has been an especially tiring one with the job change and his departure. I would bear in mind the words "life is a journey and we should always treat each experience positively and to look forward to a new day...."

May the journey in 2010 be a smoother one for us.

《十月围城》

这部电影用了血腥来刻画革命的悲壮。故事讲述孙中山到港与十三盟会的代表商讨各地起义的部署，他逗留的时间虽只有一小时，但为这次会议死的人却是以数百来计算。那个上午在香港街头洒下的鲜血为后来数十次的革命垫了基础。

至今仍未搞懂为了一个理念而愿牺牲性命的那种情操。 电影的人物也不是个个相信革命的理念。他们之中有为尽孝，尽忠，有些是为私人的原因而自愿参与了行动。

看完了电影，心情是沉重的。人物或许是虚构，但类似的牺牲在《辛亥革命》期间上演了多少回？ 你会庆幸自己生在这安逸的年代，还是感叹自己赶不及参与那章热血沸腾的历史？
